Blue Bengals

I fell in love with the blue Bengal some time ago – when I saw a particularly beautiful blue marble girl.  Her coat  was such an incredible colour that I didn’t understand why blues weren’t as popular as browns,  snows or silver Bengals.

This year is a year of change for our blues.  Jacky and I have been working hard over the last couple of years, and are now producing some stunning rosetted blues, and blue snows.

Unfortunately the blue Bengal can only be shown at TICA shows under ‘new traits’, and does not qualify for championship, but if we can produce some beautiful blues, and get some interest from other breeders, then we may be able to get the blue accepted.

Some of you will already have seen Alpha at shows – she is a truly gorgeous girl, both in terms of her type, and her stunningly delicate blue-snow colouring.

Girls

Silverglam BlueSky (aka Sky)

Spotsalot Quicksilver x Glitterglam Tansy

Pedigree

I am so pleased that Jill Fyfe was willing to let me have this beautiful blue girl

Sky has really deep blue markings on the palest background – so for a blue her definition is exceptional.

She is best friends with Vanilla – our blue-eyed snow girl – and they spend most of their day playing or sleeping together.

Sky has given us some beautiful kittens, but will be retiring in 2009, after her final litter with our new silver boy Louie.

Eriador Titanium (aka Tanny)

Purebliss Starynight x Silverglam BlueSky

Silver spotted Bengal - blue carrierPedigree

This is our lovely silver girl, Tanny.  She is the daughter of BlueSky, and has her mothers lovely gentle nature and such a soft silky coat.

Tanny is part of our blue breeding program as she is a silver that carries blue, and is taking over from her mother Sky, who is due to retire.

She has had some stunning rosetted kittens with really clear coats, and we are looking forward to her having her first blue silver babies.

Eriador Galadriel (aka Ria)

RoyalBG Blue Knight x Glitterglam Evenstar

Pedigree

This is Ria– a lovely girl from our Blue Knight, and our lovely snow girl Evenstar (now retired).

Ria is part of our blue snow breeding program, and is expecting her first kittens in 2008.

Ria carries blue, snow and marble

Eriador Kari

Eriador Deluge x Purebliss Moonlight

Silver Rosetted BengalSweet little Kari – she has her mum’s big sad eyes, and is such a gorgeous girl, but definitely doesn’t like her photo being taken.

Kari is the daughter of Del – our blue boy who is now at Budletts, and our silver girl Moonlight.

The Boys

Tedith Blue Genes

MajesticPride Spot On x Glitterglam Tedith Pearl

Pedigree

Jacky Bliss, Babs Ahmed and I jointly own this lovely little blue boy.

He has gorgeous rosettes and really strong definition in his colour.  Our thanks to Jenny Chatfield for letting us have him.

Gene really is a lovely boy – he has a wonderful temperament, and super colour.  We are really looking forward to having his kittens in 2008.

Gene carries seal lynx point (blue-eyed snow)  – so hopefully will be siring blue snow kittens for us.

Eriador Onion

RoyalBG Blue Knight x Bitzaglitz Haze

Pedigree

Blue Rosetted BengalHaze and BK have produced some exceptional kittens, and Onion is one of the best.  He has his father’s big rosettes, and a wonderful head.

He’s only a baby at the moment, so another year before we will be having his first kittens, but hopefully they will be worth the wait.
